Previous Colondars
Each Colondar is a reflection of the heart and soul of a colon cancer survivor. The Colondar began as a way to connect other young colon cancer survivors in out-of-the box, shocking ways. What better way to grab attention than girls in bikinis?
As you browse through the past years of Colondars, you’ll see the gradual evolution of this project. You’ll see that The Colon Club continues to use The Colondar as a crazy way to raise awareness of colon cancer. You’ll see how the Colondar has become a piece of artwork (and has actually won several design awards.) But more importantly, you’ll see dozens of scars from young colon cancer surivivors who bear their bellies to share their stoires of hope and survival.
About Colondar Models Past & Present
Modeling for The Colondar is a life-changing experience. Often, models have not met any, albeit few, other young colon & rectal cancer survivors when they arrive to the photo shoot. The annual weekend photo shoot of The Colondar is just as focused on connecting models with one another as it is taking photos for the calendar. Being a part of this crazy project is a life-changing experience, and Colondar models have found lasting ways to bind together and push forward the message of The Colon Club.
